Madison, Wis. – Nov. 10, 2022 – Singlewire Software has been recognized in the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) 2022 Business Honor Roll. The company was one of five outstanding local businesses to receive recognition from the Middle-Cross Plains Area School District (MCPASD) for supporting area schools. For over 10 years, MCPASD has used Singlewire’s InformaCast mass notification and critical event management to help enhance safety and communication at its schools.
“As school safety challenges have evolved, we have worked with MCPASD to develop and deploy solutions that address new concerns,” said Brett Rimkus, CFO of Singlewire Software who accepted the award on behalf of the company. “Singlewire Software has been proud to partner with MCPASD to help create a safe environment for its students and teachers.”
InformaCast is a mass notification and critical event management platform that is used by schools, colleges, universities, healthcare facilities, manufacturing plants, enterprise businesses, and government agencies to manage communications and coordinate responses during emergency situations. The district uses InformaCast for public address, automated communication, and building access controls via its phone system. With InformaCast, the district is able to automatically secure its buildings, contact emergency responders and communicate about a situation building and district-wide.
In its nomination, MCPASD cited that Singlewire has “…been instrumental in helping us design a responsive and agile system that allows us to quickly and effectively communicate in and respond to crisis situations…Our partnership with Singlewire makes our schools much safer.”
Singlewire was nominated by Jim Blodgett, security and safety coordinator for MCPASD. Awards were presented during an MCPASD school board meeting, and were handed out by Superintendent Dr. Dana Monogue and Board of Education President Bob Hesselbein.
