The company is recognized for its technological advancements in the visitor management field
Madison, Wis. – Apr 13, 2023 – Singlewire Software has won a 2023 Govies Award from Security Today Magazine in the Visitor Management category for its Visitor Aware solution, Singlewire Software’s visitor management tool. An independent panel of judges from the security industry selected Visitor Aware based on a variety of criteria, including features, innovation, user-friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, market opportunity, technical advances, scalability, and overall impact on the security industry.
“The top priority for many institutions is keeping their most important asset, their people, safe,” said Paul Shain, president and CEO of Singlewire Software. “This award highlights how Singlewire Software’s recent acquisition of Visitor Aware works to expand our offerings to help them with this priority. This technology enables organizations, especially schools, to be more prepared for expected and unexpected incidents.”
Visitor Aware enables schools and other organizations to notice and handle threats to safety from the moment they arise. Administrators can create customized guidelines for visitor approvals and keep sensitive areas free of unwanted guests. Visitor Aware incorporates ID scanning and facial recognition to screen visitors against important watchlists and active legal injunctions. The technology then alerts administrators of any flagged issues or threats to prevent these people from access to the building. Those who are approved by the technology then have a printed pass to continue into the building. Additionally, Visitor Aware aids schools and other organizations in volunteer management, tardiness tracking, secure student release and pick-up, rostering and reunification, and setting up a tip line for potential threats.
“Every imaginable security solution can be found in a government application, whether it be federal or state facilities. I truly appreciate all those who have participated in The Govies 2023, and I am amazed at the technology and product improvements year over year,” said Ralph C. Jensen, publisher of Security Today magazine. “It is always enjoyable to engage with manufacturers and end users in the security industry. There is an excitement again, particularly after the pandemic, of what is happening in the security world, and what is possible.”
